Description
This Animal Protection Zone sign meets the prescribed requirements for marking an area as an “animal protection zone” under the Ontario Security from Trespass and Protecting Food Safety Regulations, 2020, O Reg 701/20. The Security from Trespass and Protecting Food Safety Act, 2020, SO C-9 and the above Regulations prescribe special rules with respect to trespass and other conduct within an animal protection zone. The Trespass to Property Act is suspended in an animal protection zone. Under the Act and Regulations, an animal protection zone includes enclosures or areas where “farm animals” are bred, born, raised or kept, where farm animals are gathered for transport, where farm animals are ordinarily bought and sold, where farm animals are publicly displayed for viewing, and where farm animals are processed for consumption.
